ARTISTS OF PROMISE

The Artists of Promise is an annual showcase of talent within the Maricopa Community Colleges. This event honors the Chancellor’s Award Winners from student competitions in creative writing, dance performance, dance choreography, fashion design, film/media arts, music composition, instrumental music, vocal music, theatre design, theatre performance, and visual arts.I designed the campaign for the 2020-2021 competitions and gala event. This included posters, social media posts, animations, and web images. I also adapted this design to make a printed book that showcases the winners of the Creative Writing portion of the competition.

I designed the campaigns for both 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. The second campaign was a further iteration of the first one. This included posters, social media posts, animations, and web images. I also adapted this design to make a printed book that showcases the winners of the Creative Writing portion of the competition.

MAKE IT HAPPEN
CAMPAIGN REFRESH

The Make It Happen Campaign for MCCCD had been used for over 3 years and needed a conceptual update to "refresh" the campaign. My concept intended to add energy to our designs by including a pattern that added another layer of activity. In our original campaign, we used cutouts of students next to text. In my Refresh concept, the background was brought back in to give context to the student's setting. This concept was created during COVID-19 quarantine and I wanted the designs to show that learning could take place anywhere.

Including the backgrounds added depth and allowed cutouts of students to interact with the pattern. The resulting desings are more dynamic and engaging.

My concept was adapted into our print ads as we continued using the MIH Campaign.

My concept was also combined with another designer's concept to create the look for our animated digital display ads as we adapted this design to be college-specific.

Internship / Freelance

PHOENIX SUNS

As an intern for Phoenix Suns Creative Design Department, I worked on designs for established branded campaigns during the 2018-19 season. My work included flyers, advertisements, social media posts, seating charts, signage, and more. In addition to projects for the Phoenix Suns, I also worked on projects for the Phoenix Mercury, Northern Arizona Suns, and Talking Stick Resort Arena marketing partners. I completed these projects under the supervision of the Creative Director with a team of experienced designers. I designed these projects in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. After my internship, I continued working for the Suns as a freelance designer during the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

"Through clear graphs and informal prose, readers will find hard data, practical advice, and answers to common questions about the study of history and the value it affords to individuals, their workplaces, and their communities. A resource for intellectual exploration and personal inspiration, it includes a statement shaped by cooperating faculty at over 100 colleges and universities describing the abilities and habits of mind that students develop in history programs at diverse institutions. The booklet’s contributors include alumni working in a wide range of fields and occupations as well as professional historians. Together, they suggest ways that today’s college students can prepare themselves to bring historical thinking to bear in solving tomorrow’s problems." - Historians.org
